You can usually see the transition from late summer to early fall in Northwest Washington with the appearance of hay bales and increasing morning clouds. In this image I had been waiting for something to happen...and in a matter of seconds the warm rays of sunlight burned through the fog and lit up the countryside illuminating those hay bales that were patiently waiting.....Skagit County, Washington.
